Uke Ukulele Tuner Uke Ukulele Tuner is a simple but full featured uke tuner for macOS created after it had become something of a habit to leave a memory-hungry, tracker intensive browser tab open on my Mac. A quick perusal of the App Store found that somehow there was no free, native macOS ukulele tuner, a situation I was compelled to rectify. And here we are. This uke tuner is a free download on the Mac App Store which provides the standard, GCEA tuning in an efficient and effective package, with extra tunings unlockable via in app purchase for alternate tunings to suit sopranino/pocket ukulele, tenor ukulele, baritone ukulele, bass ukulele and contrabass ukulele. Simply click the pick to play a note (and if you've chosen to loop those notes click the same pick again to stop it). Any given tuning can also be transposed (pitch-shifted) up or down up to 5 semitones. If you have any trouble using the app, you have any feature requests or you just want to gush about how great it is, please post on the forum.
Ukulele Tuner Pitch Detection- technical matters. We're excited to offer this new Ukulele Tuner with Pitch Detection.
With the chromatic tuner, users can create their own tunings or tune basically any instrument (you can even identify your landline’s beeping frequency). GuitarTuna is developed by Yousician. Check out the app to learn and master guitar, ukulele, bass, piano or singing!
It is however a work in progress, and may not work with all devices. Although you can use our main Ukulele Tuner on mobile devices, the pitch detecting tuner uses Flash so is not currently available on mobile. We hope to rectify this soon. First ensure your microphone is plugged in, then ensure you have clicked 'Allow' when the message appears. Some browsers may also give a small alert near the top of the screen asking if you want to grant permission for the website to use your microphone.
The browser it seems to work best in is Google Chrome. Getting your computer audio to work properly in the browser is notoriously tricky so we can't guarantee this detector will work with your set up just now. Give it a try and good luck!
